When there is no one around, are you content with your own company, or do you get bored? Why do you think you experience yourself this way?

I don't mind being alone. After a 14 year relationship ended I basically kept to myself for a year and a half. I needed that time on my own. And you know what? It was very liberating. I now know that I don't have to have anyone, I found out I like myself. And liking yourself attracts others. So being alone can be a good thing.

Yes I often prefer to be alone. I have many interests and a house to redesign when I want. I have so much I can do that I will not live long enough to get bored. For example. I sew and make clothes and stuffed animals. I love tv shows like horror movies and non fiction shows that teach new things to try. I can repaint the walls and have the males of the house move the furniture. I love to design patterns for clothes. I go to yard sales and find treasures. I research those treasures. The local library is amazing as a resource. I do this question thing and look up old 60s singers on the internet. And occasionally go to an auditions for movie extras etc, etc. No I am not bored.

I do enjoy my own company, but I tend to fill my alone time with a book, a sudoku puzzle, a movie, etc. I enjoy the serenity of doing these things alone. But it brings up the question of how I would feel if I didn't have anything to "do". Would I be bored? Hmm, possibly.

Yes, I do like my own company.

Mostly I have had TOO many years of spending time by myself. When I was young, it was because we lived MILES from our nearest neighbour, and when I got married, it was because my husband chose to work out of town...... after 30 years of marriage, I have learned that I can only count on myself. So, yes I am content with my own company

I drove a taxi for twenty years, and met thousands of people, but also spent many hours just cruising the dark streets of the city. There is nothing like the feeling of ownership you get, when you realize that all the people of the city have abandoned the streets, and left it all to you. I guess I was born with the 'keys to the highway'.

I do enjoy my own company. Everyone needs a little "me" time every now and again. I read, I listen to music, I write, I have a mini-spa moment... manis and pedis... a soak in the tub... a facial...etc., and sometime I just relax outside under a tree and do a little meditating.

Yes...I enjoy my company more than being around most other people, because people in general suck.

Certain redheads excluded.

I enjoy being around people, but there are always those times when I just need time to myself.
