My horse broke it's leg so I had to shoot it.Now it's got a broke leg and a gunshot wound.If he don't get better I'm gonna shoot him again.

No. The owner will fill up the hole slowly. While the horse will shake away the soil that falls on him and step up.
Eventually, the hole will be filled up and the horse just walk out of it.
