It's just like the midieval system. You "fear" you superiors, and you "serve" them so as to win their approval.
I understand very well why you believe in God - don't get me wrong, I do.
The concept of "God" is very calming to those who are insecure, like a method to the madness.
But some people aren't really true Christians. They convert to be "saved" from the ever-frightening hell. Or, they join because they are afraid that "God" will turn against those who don't.
But have you ever thought about the real point of Christianity? What Christ sought to teach all in the first place?
In my opinion, Christianity is not about going to heaven, or falling in favor of "the Lord." It's about what Christ taught to his diciples, the lessons of life, the basic everyday things that make people kind, honest, decent folk.
