I became an EMT-B in March and I have been running ambulance calls since November/December, I am still really nervous about running calls and Im not sure if this is normal or not. I know my skills but whenever I get on a call its like I freeze. How do I get over this feeling? I don't want to get on a life or death call and freeze because that isn't good for the patient or the patient's family. I think this field is for me and I hope it is because I enjoy it but it seems that when I get on the call the medic/paramedic is doing the work and Im standing there looking stupid because I freeze. I know I havent been an EMT for very long but this worries me. Please help if you have experienced the same thing.

He's been my friend since Kindegarten and he has lived right next door to me for the past 8 yrs. Everyone is always saying how great he is and how me and him should go out, but everytime someone would say that we'd think that was disgusting. But i dont anymore. "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter." The revolutionary leaders of our country were called terrorists. Civil rights protesters were called terrorists. Anti-war protesters during Vietnam were called terrorists. Isn't the word "terrorism" a convenient term to throw at all enemies of a government be they true terrorists, dissents or freedom fighters?

I've been sneezing for years, but I'm a quiet sneezer, so nobody knows when I sneeze. The way I figure it, I've been shortchanged a lot of "bless you"s in my day because of this. And that may be why I'm down on my luck. If I'd have had all of those people saying "Bless You" over the years, I'm thinking my world would be a lot brighter today.

I have a crate 350 chevy motor that is having issues. It backfires through the carb and runs ok at best. This was in a truck that my buddy owned and he said "One day I noticed the distributor was bouncing on the motor and I pushed it down. This somehow caused the engine to stall. It has run like crap ever since." I've noticed that it starts just fine and will idle on its own. It only backfires through the carb when reved up. My first mission to check this is to entirely retime the engine. Sadly, I am not familiar on how to do this. Can someone lend me some instructions, or perhaps a better diagnosis?

I have an eastern box turtle and a small water turtle (I believe either a florida red-belly or a river cooter). I have just built an outdoor enclosure that is about 8 feet by 20 feet long that will have a small pond in it (Like you can buy at Home Depot made of plastic) with filtration. I have planted a few things, aloe, cucumbers, tomatoes in the enclosure. It is meant for the box turtle but I would like to put the little water turtle in the same enclosure but want to make sure they will be ok together. I figure that in this area (Alabama) they would live near each other in the wild anyway.

I have a customer that has a 2002 Chevy K2500 with the Duramax Diesel 6.6. He had a 1/4 tank and filled the rest with regular gas. He then drove about 10 miles and it died. I had it towed to my place and removed the tank to get all the gas out. I will finish the job tomorrow. I still have to reinstall the tank and replace the fuel filter. Before I did this I losened the bleeder valve and tried to start the truck and not fuel came out. The main question I have is that when I do all this should the truck start and run ok or do I need to do something else also.
