1. Control (historically)
2. Society
3. Lack of communication
Men historically have worked to control women and place them in position of inferiority and submission.....in circumstances like that relationships are not equal for obvious reasons, as such there is not a desire for communication b/c when you're trying to control someone you are not interested in what they think you are trying to control what they think. Over time this has contributed to #2, society then adapts and establish what roles men and women play in relationships.....women have begun exercising their independence and freedom (forgoing traditional roles) but unfortunately that has only contributed to the lack of communication between the sexes b/c now both roles are going through a paradigm shift...more uncertainty means increased lack of understanding on both ends. As u c this then leads to #3 lack of communication......we struggle to understand each other b/c we struggle to understand what are roles are in a relationship.....we struggle internally therefore we struggle externally. It was not meant to be (especially if you're a christian) we need each other for survival physically and emotionally. We're just in the middle of a paradigm shift and it's unclear how we mesh w/one another. I could go on but who wants to read a long answer....certainly not me :)

Getting through life involves a balance of emotion and reason. The women respond to emotional needs, and the men pragmatics.
One thing men don't understand is that when a women has a problem, she does not want a solution from us....only consolation and understanding. Solutions make women feel stupid and inferior.

If men and women could figure each other out half of the problems with relationships would disappear. I think it was meant to be this way!! Think about it if everyone knew what the opposite sex was thinking..I think the world would be boring. But thats my opinion. Though I wish I could figure men out and I'l write a book about it and get rich!!!

Men feel like figuring women out is like rocket science, and most women feel the same about men. We are just wired differently. Men, to me, are really simple creatures, but once you accept the fact that you will never totally "get" a man, and he will never totally "get" women, we'll all be better off. Stop trying to psycho-analyze each other....it only gives you unnecessary headaches in the end.

it's mainly due a communication differences. studies show that men actually listen and show emotions, just in different way. you can't say a man jumping up and down when his team won is not showing emotion, right? anyway, there is a theory saying that the difference is mainly due to how boy and girls play when they were little. There has been studies done on these kind of differences. so, to your question...yes, i agree?

hey its not easy figuring out what the other person is thinking be it woman or a man.but living with the other person or spending lot of time together u can figure out by their body language what they are trying to convey.
Men like to have a invisible barrier where even a wife or mother of sister or brother can't peek thru.As much as we dislike there are somethings which both men and women like to keep it to themselves.

Guys have never truly understood girls and girls have never truly understood guys, that seems to be a universal rule. I know this is an absolute stereotype, but I would bet that most if not all the single guys that truly share/show all of their emotions are gay.
