I'm a white girl of Italian heritage who absolutely adores Hispanic culture. My first CD was by Selena, I started learning Spanish in 5th grade and then took classes from 7-10th grade. I've always dated/been interested in Hispanic men (my current boyfriend is from Mexico), I love Latin music (especially Reggaeton), I've wanted to visit Puerto Rico for the longest time now, and I always find books/movies that feature Hispanic characters to be much more appealing. I'm really fascinated with the whole culture. A lot of my friends and family make fun of me. They're always like "Jen, you're white! Not Puerto Rican! Stop with that music!"

So I was just curious. When Hispanic people see a white girl who really takes an interest in their culture, do they think "Hey, that's pretty cool" or "She's white and needs to get a life." I don't try to pretend that I'm Hispanic, I just have a genuine interest in the culture.

I am going crazy! Every other kid I know wakes up in a good mood. He sleeps for 1 1/2-2 hrs, wakes up and throws a fit for an hour when he wakes up, and this happens 2-3 times a week. I have offered him something to drink, a toy, even cookies. I try to pick him up and he writhes in anger. I put him back in his crib, and he yells louder. He doesn't seem in pain. He just IS one. Any advice would be welcome.

Israel was attacked. How did they respond? They identified the group responsible and invaded a country to eliminate them. What did the U.S. do after it was attacked? The same thing, just in a different country. How did you feel when we invaded Afghanistan? Probably like we were doing the right thing. The Israeli's are feeling the same way. Don't give me any guff about how Israel is killing babies because if you think the U.S. didn't make mistakes in the Afghanistan war you are mistaken and are once again a hypocrite. Also to those who feel Hezbollah has a right to fight because it was once their land? What would you do if the British, or American indians began bombing and killing us? You wouldn't give your land and livelyhood up would you. Think about these facts for awhile then give me your answer. If you disagree, great tell me why and I will give you the respect you deserve and answer back.
