I say BROVO Hazelton, PA, I hope other towns and cities follow your lead. can anybody out there help me with a problem i have? This landlord is suing me for damages he says i did in a house. I rented for ten years. I moved out over a year ago and he waited atleast seven months to sue me. I thought there was a time frame to sue anybody. Somone had moved in four months after we left. He done some remodling so i think he wants money for things he should had fixed while we were there. this house is very old( built in the fiftys)me and my husband were renting from month to month. We also never gave any money for damages.(deposit) we have to go to court in a couple of weeks and we cannot afford a lawyer. this landlord says he has pictuers but i dont know what thats going to prove because we lived there so long ago anybody could have done damages to this house in the time we have been gone. so is there any hope for us?

Last week, I went to the post office to change my address. I was SHOCKED when the postal worker told me, it was not necessary to show any proof of identity to do so. Are you kidding me? She didn't ask for my state id, driver's license, NOTHING. I filled out a postcard and that was it.

With the all the identify theft going on today, am I the only person surprised about this? Or is it possible the postal worker didn't know what she was talking about?

If you change your address online, you are required to provide a credit card with your name, but in person NO ID IS REQUIRED???? That's nuts!!!

we are putting in a ventilation system in the basement for a poker room...but i am having a hard time finding a simple ventilation system, other than just lowes and home depot...any suggestions? they wanted to give us the answer of one like over a stove! not good enough~ and that would look silly!

Our company uses a database program that runs on SQL server. I use Access2002 and run some basic queries on the database to retrieve a list of data. We connect to all of this via a Citrix connection. Periodically users are experiencing very bad slowness issues, lockups, etc. When I contacted the company about it they said it is because I am using Access and my queries lock the tables and that cause other users who are actually in the program to experience their problems. The query I run just takes about a second or two to display the data. They said even if the query is completed, as long as it remains open it will keep those tables locked. Does this sound likely? If so, how do I make Access queries not lock the data. If it does not sound like the case to you, do you have any suggestions on a reputable site that may contain some facts to back that up. Unless I can start pointing them to prove that they may be wrong, they will never fix the problem and put the blame on my queries.

A real estate developer is starting a new subdivision called "Appleyard" (changed name to protect me). They own the domain www.appleyard.com. I created several domains such as www.myappleyard.com, www.sellappleyard.com, etc.

They do have a legitimate trademark with "Appleyard". They recently sent a cease and desist letter giving me a week to respond and transfer all of the domains I created to them. I want to do the right thing, if I'm wrong I'll transfer them. I want to create real estate sales by acting as a buyer's agent for this new subdivision. These domains were to create some of this business.
