Aloe vera or vitamine e oil are the best treatment for your over roasted skin, it won't make you look any differant right at first but it will help you keep from looking like you were made out of a saddle in 20 years. Well that and staying out of the sun.

Daily scrubs with an appricot pit scrub will help by knocking off the crispy outter layers of skin and use lemon juice (not from concentrate) daily it will help to lighten your skin. And stay out of the sun! You can't abrade away or bleach away Melanoma.

Keep yourself out of the sun and covered up... If you do have to go out, definitely use a good sunblock... Ultimately, only time will let the tan fade a bit... Just give it a good 5 to 7 days!

stay out of any sunlight or as little sun exposure as possible..
it will start to fade in a few days..

there are skin lightening/ bleaching kits available at most all beauty supply stores. They are fairly cheap and will start to work immediately, but will need a few applications. Just be sure to follow the directions exactly....

1. Take a cool bath or shower and gently pat yourself dry.

2. Cover the sunburned area with 100 percent aloe vera gel, hydrocortisone cream or sunburn lotion.

3. Apply cool, wet compresses to the burned area whenever you need relief from the heat.

4. Take aspirin or ibuprofen several times a day to reduce pain and inflammation. Wear loose-fitting clothing to avoid irritating the burn.

5. Avoid breaking any water blisters. Apply antibacterial ointment to any that break on their own.

Sometimes you just have to wait until it goes away by its self. Putting some skin lotion on it may help the healing and the skins normal color to come back. Give it a try.

Wear long-sleeved tops. This will help you to have even tones. Use lotion with sunscreen on top of this and avoid being exposed to the sun. In time, you'll have your natural color back.

Aloe is good for the burn, but also can decrease the darkness or redness of the skin.
