Men don't want something they are never gonna use, and they don't really care that much what they get so get them something practical. Go to home depot, they have utility knives, mag lite flash lights, small tools, and a lot of things that will just pop out at you once you get there. Trust me, we did this and all the guys loved their gifts. Have fun!

My fiance and I are having the same problems. So, here's what we are doing.

1.) We're paying for the tuxes. But that prolly doesn't count as a gift.

2.) Hand written note of appreciation for travelling so far to be a part of our special day.

3.) Rosary. (We're Catholic and so is everyone in the wedding party.)

4.) Cigar holder. Engraved with initial. With a cigar in it. This will come in handy since the bachelor party will be right after the rehearsal dinner.

I really like the idea of giving them something they can use. Out of all the "typical" groomsmen gifts, my favorite are engraved cuff links. My advice, is to set a budget. And from there figure out what you want to get them.

Good luck!

My fiance and I have purchased T-shirts for all of our groomsmen. We tried to find one that fit each of their personalities, for example, our friend is a volunteer fireman, so we found a shirt that stated "20 things that sound dirty in firefighting". Another one is a police officer, so we found one that says "22 things to never say to a cop". We've kept it as clean as possible, but risque enough to have some fun and get a good laugh. It's something that they will use again for sure.

I think that getting groomsmen personalized gifts are nice. Either something monogrammed because they would never treat themselves to something so nice, or something that fits their personality. Do they like golf, poker, etc. If they like a tv show maybe find some cool memorabilia on EBay. Stuff like that.

Gift cards to their favorite stores - make it something fun for them - most guys don't like jewelry and they really like practical gifts. With the gift cards, they can buy whatever they want and they will appreciate that.

I have an eBay store where I sell engraveable gifts. http://stores.ebay.com/Aphrodites-Creations The prices listed are for individual items (unless otherwise noted in the discription), but I offer discounts for multiples of the same item.

Good luck and let me know if you see anything you are interested in!

Go to a nice jewelry store with nice gifts. My husband got them fancy glass beer mugs--clear and they liked that. But it depends on what the groomsmen like and what you can afford.

My hubby gave his groomsmen engraved pocket watches. He gave my brother an engraved Swiss Army knife (he hates pocket watches).
