Many of us consider ourselves citizens of our towns and cities, our states, and our nation. But have you ever thought of your self as a citizen of the World? Great people from Albert Einstein to Albert Camus have declared themselves to be World Citizens. Do you consider yourself a World Citizen? If so, what does being a World Citizen mean?

I have a friend that came out and told me that she was gay and my response was not at all surprising. We hang together sometimes, and she knows i don't swing that way but i wanted to know if it would hurt reputation by hanging with her.

ok so i've found it more effective in tha past to exercise and eat reguarly includin junk foods and not keep track of bad carbs n fats i waz eatin lost weight quicker than doin tha same exercises like i would regularly do while makin sure i didnt eat anythin high in fats or anything that would ruin me tryin 2 lose weight, so does any1 know y this could have happened

I was reviewing the integration technique of trigonometric substitution and I wanted to know why we are only restricted to using sin(a), tan(a), and sec(a)....

For example, in order to find the integral of (1/(1-x^2))dx .... the common method is to use x = sin(a) as the subsitution and you then get the answer arcsinx + C. However, how come you can't use x = cos(a)??? I can work out the problem but I get a different answer. I don't have my notes with me at the moment, but I believe I got -arccosx + C.

Why must I use sin(a)???

I'm not answering my own question because it's your experiences I want to hear about, but I can give an example of what I'm looking for. In 1911, an uncle of my paternal grandmother was hanged for the murder of his business partner. I have a copy of the newspaper which covered the event, and it's quite fascinating. Another part of my story is that my maternal grandmother, who was not related to any of those people, was standing in her front yard when she saw a man race by in a buggy while whipping his horse. This was my paternal grandmother's uncle who had committed the murder just minutes before. I always teased my maternal grandmother about it because I, her first grandchild, wound up being related to him. She would say, "Please don't remind me."
