I was driving in a pack of cars going with the flow of traffic and I saw flashing lights behind me, the woman in the car next to me refused to let me pull to the right. However police car was stopping me. He ticketed me for going 56 in a 35. The area does have several speed zones and this particular one goes from a 55 to a 35 I had just entered the 35 when I was clocked. What bothers me though is that out of all the cars I was the only one in the group to be targeted and was not by any means in the front or the rear of this group I was however the only one who had out of state license plates. Upon reading their rules of the road book today I found out that had he said I was going 55 I would have still had to go to court but would have been fined and gotten to retain my driving privliges. However since he said I was going one mile an hour over 55 I will lose my driving priviliges for 3 months. Should and how do i fight this?

appreciate your honest answer (based on a question asked by another). Say you have a 17 year old who's a great kid, lots of friends, good grade, high expectations in life....but he also likes to have fun with his friends and sometimes there are parties. No ALL the time. Ok, so your son asks you if he can go to a person's home - that there will be alcohol but parents w/b there taking keys and they spend the night and are watched carefully. On the other hand, if you say no, being 17 and they do go out - he may go someplace else with no supervision, keys in pocket and drink anyway. Of course, you won't know this part (drinking) of the story until he's attempted to drive home and gotten in an accident because they haven't learned how much is too much. No one there to stop them. Which scenerio would you prefer? I would prefer the 1st. I want my child alive.

I live close to Boston and am turning 29 in few weeks. I wanted to do a booze cuise but I did it for my 25th. Next year I'll be 30 so I want to go nuts this year.

I was feeding my great danes diamond brand dog food for breakfast and then again for dinner mixed w/ pedigree canned dog food. One of my danes has been completely uninterested in the food. She'd let her food sit in the bowl until she was so hungry she'd finally eat it. Well then one day I ran out of food but the feed store was closed so I had to buy from the grocery store. I got them Gravy Train and they love it. Even my girl who always eats as a last resort licks up every last bite. I think I might stick w/ the Gravy Train - they seem to really get excited about it, but I thought the Diamond brand might have more nutritional value since it is sold at the feed store. What do you dog lovers out there think?

According to the American Constitution, every man, (meaning male and female) has the right to speach. The only time, Constitutionaly, that one's speach should be halted is when it directly inflicts on the rights of others, (such as instructing in violence toward another, as only one example).

Political Correctness, however, applies greater restrictions to speach. It demands that any speach which simply offends another be stopped. The speach does not have to imply or incite violence, it only needs to emotionally offend others.

That being said, do not "Freedom of Speach" and "Political Correctness" contradict one another? If so, how can both be defended and promoted simultaneously, such as Liberals and Democrats do, (such as with MTV, VH1, and many Liberal programs)? How can one defend another's right to speach, and then tell them not to talk about whites, blacks, men, women, homosexuals, Christians, Muslims, etc...?
