There are so many people, from those religious groups that protest at funerals to those activists who publicly decry our being in the middle east, who protest in America. My question is, if they want peace so bad, why are they protesting in one of the few countries in the world that is not currently experiencing a war within their borders? Why wouldn't those people bring their message of peace to those countries who truly need it - like Sri Lanka, who have been experiencing a civil war for the past 30 years with a terrorist organization - the Tamil Tigers? Who didn't they bring their message of peace to Iraq, who's Kurdish people where slaughtered by the hundred of thousands by chemical weapons and military might over decades of Saddam Hussein's rule?
Isn't protesting within our borders about peace similar to walking into a crowded Denny's and screaming about how there are starving people in Africa? While the statement is true - couldn't you get more done IN AFRICA?

I was raised moderately religious (liberal Muslim), and studied religion for years. For me, it wasn't so much an abandonment of Islam, but religion altogether - all as manmade myth, stories, and figments of order.

So for you - was there one thing that made you figure out that organized religion was all a bunch of BS? A rule that made no sense? An event in your life?

I'm curious!

I hope you answerers in this category could help me...
This guy that I haven't seen in a while, and who we both kind of had things for each other recently sent me an email...albeit one of those chain letters, so not personally written. According to the "Sent To" line, he only sent it to me and his best friend Aaron, (although I guess it doesn't mean we were the only two...) I thought this would be a good way to start up communication with him, kind of like "re-breaking" the ice, so I emailed him back asking how he's been. It's been a while already, I'm not sure exactly, and he still hasn't written back. I sent the email the exact day I first saw it. It was short and sweet, just asking how he was doing, like I said.

I definitely don't feel like sending him another one because it seems like he doesn't want to talk, I guess. So what does it mean when a guy doesn't return something like this in this case? Thanks if you can help out! ~I appreciate the answers~

Here is the problem.

Astro Van, 95, 4.3L, 224,000 miles. Original engine, transmission, timing chain, etc.

Engine chokes, stalls, sputters, and vibrates when the accelerator is pressed fully while in drive. When in neutral and fully depressing the trottle the engine does not sputter or run rough. It stalls in all this in all speeds D, 3, 2, 1. Simply pressing rapidly the accelerator will do every time.

If you barely or gently press the accelerator it will attain a good speed and hold it. Seems to run normal as long as acclerator is not pressed over 1/4 of stroke.

Fuel pump was changed at 180,000.
Ox Sensor at 205,000.

No codes showing, no check engine light.

Seems to me like if it were the fuel pump or the coil it would do it in neutral as well.

ANYBODY got a clue what this beast is telling me.
