After a group of people re-translated the bible, they say they now know the "truth". I am not a religious person, nor do I want to be. But, most religions speak of "God's Word". Why then does the bible end? Does he not speak anymore? Should there be more to the story? Shouldn't he be continually encouraging us to live better lives instead of just constantly refering to an old book?
The Bible was written by man - actually many men. Unless God wrote it himself, it is open to interpretation the first time someone else's pen hits the paper.
If God wants you to live a certain way, then I think He should tell you directly so you can write it down word for word. If you are living the true meaning of your religion (and NOBODY does!) then others will see it and will want to have what you have too.
So preach no more! Then others will follow.
So I guess my question now is What Bible do you live by?
