NOT DIRECTLY!
There is no evidence the eating fish has a direct effect on intelligence. But fish has a number of health benefits. Fish contains omega3 fatty acids that are very good for controlling cholesterol and improving circulation. Since circulatory problems are one the main causes of dementia/memory loss, in the long-term eating fish could help out your intellectual functioning and it can't hurt anything.
One of best fish to eat for omega3 is salmon.

There's a link with a brief discussion about eating fish and your IQ.

I think the way to look at it is the same as body building. You can have a great diet but if you do not do the exercises then you will not accumulate the muscle mass desired. Similarly, a good balanced diet will give your mind the nutrients to operate well, but increasing your IQ (somewhat) is really about exploring things, the joy of learning, a good memory, practicing solving different types of logic/word/math and other types of problems and puzzles, increasing your vocabulary, and doing new and creative things. Trying new things is important. Also if you have a weakness in a praticular area such as mathematics then work on it. Don't just do the things you're good at. There are lots of websites to stimulate your intellect in various ways.
There are supplements which are supposed to help improve mental functions such as memory and concentration but I would stay clear of these.
I think it is good to exercise your mind and body but I wouldn't be obssessed about increasing your IQ. In fact exercising the body is likely to improve the functioning of your mind more than any special diet would. Bobby Fischer, the chess genius has a IQ of 187 and he and other chess players would do vigorous cardio-vascular exercises before major tournaments. It improved their powers of concentrarion. A well balanced diet and mental and physical exercise are important. But just be yourself and enjoy doing and learnng new things and you will find that your mind will work just fine and your IQ is likely to be somewhat higher.

There have been studies that show women who consume a moderate amount of fish during pregnancy have smarter children because the fish oils and omega acids help develop the brain of a growing fetus. Think about how stereotypically smart Asain children are, and how much fish is in the Asian diet.

There's a compound in fish called docosahexaenoic acid or DHA for short that supposedly is helpful to the brain. However, I'd recommend getting it in supplement form because of the dangers found in fish. There's lots of good info in the article!

No, that is an urban legend. Eating salmon or tuna will help your heart tho, if its not fried, grilled or baked is best. The fear of mercury is unfounded. Yes fish can have trace amounts of mercury but that is concentrated in the skin. Peace

Most fish contains omega fatty acids. Your body requires omega fatty acids to build such parts of the body as neurotransmitters, nerves, and brain cells. These omega fatty acids aren't found in anything else and cannot be made by the body. Best wishes
