Electromagnetism holds things with unlike electric charges together.

The strong nuclear force holds things with colour charge together over short range.

The five forces in the universe. The Nuclear force, which holds protons and neutrons together, the weak nuclear force that changes a quarks flavor, the strong interaction that holds quarks and gluons together, electromagnetism, the fluctuations in the universal electromagnetic field, and Gravity, most likely caused either by gravitons, or Higgs Bosons.
