但這些都不是我要的.

The driver asked me the place which I wanted to go to=形容詞子句
The driver asked me the place to which I wanted to go=形容詞子句
The driver asked me the place where I wanted to go=名詞子句

那如果將where dose he come form?改成間接問句

The policeman asked me the place where I come from.(這句我認為是錯的)
前面的例子(the driver... ) 用where 時，要把最後面的to去掉。
那也就是說，在這句中，from也要去掉，才能 用where
那應該變成The policeman asked me the place where I come.(沒有from)
可是好像沒有這種句子。(因為有人跟我說，come from是片語，不可拆開)

那回到我前面知識的問題
Where shall we go(vi)
Where does he come from?
那就是說第二句不能改成
The policeman asked me the place where I come
而只能用
The policeman asked me the place which I come from

而第一句可以用
I know the place where we shall go.

關於這兩個，這發現非常像，其實跟本就是一樣

間接疑問副詞如：the driver asked me where I wanted to go.

和用關係副詞：the driver asked me the place where I wanted to go.(我自己改的)

這樣不就一樣了嗎？

還是說：有別的解釋！？

還有一個例子：
That's the reason why I told him an earlier time.
和 That's way I told him anearlier time.這句省略了the reason
文法書將這兩句都放在，關係子句內介紹。

但是我覺得它和間接問句的句型：(文法書內)
如：I don't know + wh-疑問詞/how/if + 主詞 + 動詞
Tell me
Do you know

他們(間接問句&關係子句)很像：
那是不是就是一樣一東西
那和省略先行詞(我前面的例子 the reason) ,有沒有關係呢?
