I'm going to Columbus, OH. the end of this month for a Commercial Real Estate Conference and staying at the Hilton Columbus at Easton 3900 Chagrin Drive, Columbus, Ohio, 43219.

What are the good bars/nightclubs in the area, especially for live music. Also any good suggestions on restaurants in the area (Not Applebee's, Olive Garden, Ruby Tuesdays, etc.) but something unique or a local favorite.

I've never ever ever once heard anything negative about Portland. Has anyone ever had anything negative happen to them, or is it really this amazing dream land I have imagined?

PS- I don't want to hear Republicans having a bad encounter with hippys. Thanks.

I'm planning trip next year and we'll be driving cross country, NY to LA.

How much, in terms of dollar per mile would it cost me.

Yahoo maps has the distance down as 2808.4 miles, we'll be taking the Route 66 highway so it might work out a bit more than that.

Hello!

Going to Las Vegas for my honeymoon in a week, but I live in Oregon, so Reno is a lot closer, my fiance and I are thinking about driving to Reno one of these weekends.

Anyone have any feedback about Reno? I have to admit, we thrive on touristy, flashy stuff. We also love to swim, so hotels/resorts with big fancy pools are a definite plus.

Thanks for the feedback!

There are no Amtrak routes that run through Wyoming, southeastern Idaho or southwestern Montana; the closest Greyhound stops are in Bozeman and Cody (they used to have one in West Yellowstone I believe); and the closest MAJOR airport is in SLC (there are smaller airports, but those cost more $$$ and have more connections).

What does it say about the shape of public transportation in our country when the so-called "crown jewel" of our National Parks System cannot be reached by any reasonable means other than by car?
