Been there. Many people say the best show is Soji Tabuchi. I have never been to that one, so I can't comment. I have just heard it is great from a lot of people. My favorite stops in Branson are:
"The Showboat Branson Belle" It is a large showboat that takes you for a cruise and show with either lunch or dinner served. Tod Oliver is a FANTASTIC ventriloquist who works with live dogs and is always featured in the show. They also have great music and the food isn't bad. Overall a good experience.
"Silver Dollar City" is hands down THEj amusment park to visit in Branson. With your paid admission you will get a tour of Marvel Cave. Don't miss the cave tour! It is one of the best caves in North America and is spectacular. The music shows in the park are always good and they actually have good food in the park which is a surprize if you've visited very many amusement parks.
"Sheperd of the Hills" is the longest running outdoor drama in the U.S. and is worth a see if you like dramas.
"Red Skelton" I'm not sure if this is still there or not, but if it is and you grew up watching the Red Skelton show as I did SEE IT! Tom Mullica is fantastic as Red. This show is only offered in the afternoons.
"Eureka Springs, Arkansas" This town is only about 60 miles from Branson I think. If you have an extra day and a way to get there DO IT! Eureka Springs is a very unique town that has more Victorian buildings than any other place in the U.S. It is mostly shops and bed and breakfasts but is quaint and authentic and a nice break from the manufactured glitz of Branson. It is also home to "The Great Passion Play" if you are into that sort of thing.
Well there you go. My top picks for the Branson area. I could go on much more, but half the fun is discovering for yourself, so go enjoy!

I really like Silver Dollar City, the shows change often with season, the strip is also another nice area, especially for preteens/teens
