My mom has to go there on business for a week and I'm joining her, possibly with a friend. I'm 22 and adventurous, but I might be doing a lot of stuff alone if the friend thing doesn't happen. We'll probably be there during 4th of July week but we're not completely sure yet. So, suggestions for stuff a 20-something female could do alone during the day, and maybe stuff to do with my mom by night. Help me out!

My husband and I grew up near San Diego. We moved to Denver about a year ago, but I have had some health problems here and it looks like we'll be moving again. My husband is a software developer so we need a place with a good job market for that. He only has about a 5 minute commute right now so we are hoping he won't have a long commute. We would like a place with reasonable housing (definitely under 350k) and a safe neighborhood. We like suburbs better than the city. We really like snow and don't want a place that gets really hot in the summer. I would like to have malls, outlets, etc. nearby. Below is a list of places we're considering (if you have other you think we should include, please share that too), which would be the best place to live and why? Also can you recommend areas in these cities?

Seattle
Chicago
New Hampshire (maybe commute to Boston for work?)
Conneticut
Pennsylvania (either near Philadelphia or Harrisburg)
New Jersey
Minneapolis
Ann Arbor, MI
Raleigh

I can't wait until October because my boyfriend is coming back from Wisconsin to take me down to Daytona Beach, Florida. The only part that I'm not going to like is the 20+ hour ride down there on the back of his motorcycle. Is anyone else going??

We are travelling to Myrtle Beach in July from Ontario, Canada. A friend of mine, told me that Canadians arn't very respected in Myrtle Beach and other parts of the United States because alot of Americans think most Canadians are anti - American.

I visit the United States alot, and I love it there! I even have a Canadian flag and American flag at my house. Im wondering though, if Americans (such as yourself if you are American) are not fond of Canadians very much, or not fond of Canadian visiting the United States?

If you live in a town that is a popular tourist destination, what, if anything, irritates you when tourist season begins? I live in Williamsburg, VA and for me it's the drivers who obviously don't know where they are going and either drive 10 miles under the speed limit or cut off three lanes of traffic to turn into the outlet malls!

WHY?

We are a family of 5 (two adults, two teens and one 8 year old) heading to Cape Lookout. We vacation for two weeks in Nags Head and find ourselves seeking out all the lighthouses in the Outer Banks. Cape Lookout will complete our goal. We understand it will be a long day and would like to stay overnight so we can relax and enjoy our trip and not be on a strict schedule. Could use some help from those in the know.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone out there has ever been to the Catalina Island Marine Institute for a one week or three week session? I was thinking about going to the tree week session next year to lear how to scuba dive and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it is like. I was there last year, so hi to anyone who was there in 2005!

When I went to the Outer Banks in '04, two of my favorites were the Diamond Shoals Restaurant and the Buxton Munch. There was also an ice-cream shop located at a fork in the road, along Hwy 12, across from a place with the name "Bilbo's" in it. I forget the ice-cream shop's name, so when you respond about favorite restaurants, can you tell me the name of the ice-cream shop, too?

Having flown recently this question popped into my head. So, is there any special way that flight numbers are assigned, or is it just random. And how do they know your flight number... so far ahead of time.

I'm in Ontario where the drinking age is only 19. NY State is 21.
So when all the partiers croos the border into Niagara to come to our bars and get tanked. Can they be charged with drinking offences when walking back across the border to there home town? Just curious.
