Americans don't like Canadians visiting?

We are travelling to Myrtle Beach in July from Ontario, Canada. A friend of mine, told me that Canadians arn't very respected in Myrtle Beach and other parts of the United States because alot of Americans think most Canadians are anti - American.

I visit the United States alot, and I love it there! I even have a Canadian flag and American flag at my house. Im wondering though, if Americans (such as yourself if you are American) are not fond of Canadians very much, or not fond of Canadian visiting the United States?

What are you talking about! USA LOVES Canada! What would make us real happy in Texas if all you Canadians would sneak across the border and start doing all the work our lying leaders tell us we Americans don't want to do. Pretty good, eh? Sounds like a plan.

Here in my neck of the woods FL, Canadians are so rude to us. The come down here for the winter and treat us like we are dirt. Almost half of the people in my neighborhood are winter residents, and most of them are just plain mean. Why is that? 2 of the best examples are. One day while in Wal-Mart I had stopped in front of the lightbulbs trying to make up my mind, when this man came up to me and told me to get the f**k out of his way, I said excuse me and he said, stupid f**king americans. Canadians don' t act like this. and I said well you can go home, to which he said if it wasn't for the Canadian comming here I would not have a pot to piss in! The other was a neighbor standing at the end of my drive when I pulled up, I turned on my blinker so he would know I wanted to turn in, and he starts cussing me out, because I want to turn into my drive. I am in no way saying that all Canadians are this way, But those few that are have given you a bad rep. I do have friends who are Canuks, and they will tell you the same thing I did. Myrtle Beach is great fun, we used to live near by. I do hope you have a good time, and don't forget the sunscreen!

I am sure that is the opinion of some uneducated American bigots. Their feelings were hurt when Canada refused to help America Invade Iraq. The rest of us know better than to make dumb judgements based on political posturing. I believe Canadians are generally well thought of in U.S. But we do have all kinds here.

This question seems a little passive/aggressive to me!
A friend said that Canadians aren't respected???
Please back this up with facts such as the official poll!
I can't believe that any majority would be opposed to having Canadians visit the U.S. or vice versa!
I also can't believe that you have a Canadian flag!
And why do you keep trying to word your questions so that only Americans will answer?
Do you happen to live right on the border, because you're a little ambiguous with your country of origin!

I live in Arizona, and a lot of Canadians winter here. I have never heard any anti-Canadian talk in the 20 years I have lived here. I hope you enjoy your visit.

That's ridiculous! Don't worry about anything like that. If you do run into people like that, probably they're nutso, or they saw only a small clip from the movie "Canadian Bacon" with John Candy and didn't realize it was supposed to be funny.

I know several Canadians --and Americans --believe me these two people like each other --they're like family sometimes quibble and argue but they really care about each other.
