My family and I are planning a trip to Disney in Florida in about a year or two from now. It will be about 12 of us. I have seen many promotions for packages that say it's like 1500 for 4 people for about a week. These packages include airlines and hotel. Does this mean we still have to purchase the park tickets separately or how do these packages work? Can any one who has purchased these give me a hint? Thanks!

I was in line at Disney World when two individuals, one in front of me and one behind got into a pretty heated debate about fastpass. Fastpass is a system that allows you to make a reservation for a ride. The man said that cutting in line should never happen and Walt Disney would be pissed if he saw that and everyone should have to wait in line no matter what and that wait times on fast pass rides are triple what they used to be. The woman behind me said that allows you to plan your day and since its available to everyone it is fair. She said she only waited 5 minutes for Space Mountain at a time when the wait time was an hour and a half. What do you guys think?

I have been told that in disney waterparks it is better if you wear flip flops so that your feet don't get too hot and worn out walking around. I wanted to know how I can wear them when I want to go around the park going on slides? I can't wear them on the slide so how do I get around this problem?

I only want to go to Disney waterparks because I don't really like wet n' wild.
I have been before so I know the general set-up of the parks.

Has anybody got around this problem or does someone have other advice on how to protect your feet.

I went on the land and sea package and stayed at a hotel at Walt Disney World. I have been reading about all of the hotels that are there now and can't figure out which one I stayed at. Have any of them changed their name or been torn down to build a new one?

My family an I are thinking about moving to Orlando, Florida. We can afford to buy a house at any price up to about $450,000. Is Orlando, Florida a nice place to live?

Is it possible to get a really good deal on a room at DisneyWorld's Animal Kingdom Lodge? Specifically, I want to stay in one of the Savannah rooms, which are the most expensive. I can be as flexible as need be in order to save as much on the room as possible. Last I checked, though, those rooms run almost $300/night (NOT including taxes & fees!) in the dead of winter. Anybody got any inside information that would save me some money?

We are staying on International Drive but not driving (due to Mum's fear after previous holiday car crash over there.) I want to treat her to this show but need to know how easy it is to get to using public transport. Also is it a safe area to be in when leaving the show? Thanks.

Okay, so I'm going to be going to AKL in August 2008. There will be three adults, three children, and an infant. That means I need either two rooms, or a 1BR suite (or 2BR villa).

Currently, I have a reservation for a pair of rooms on the club level (concierge), as I'm thinking the snacks throughout the day, and option of taking the sunrise safari are pretty cool. However, especially for the kids, I'm really after the savanna view. Unfortunately, on club level, it's not guaranteed. For a difference of $40/night per room extra, I'm wondering if that's a foolish gamble to take.

So... has anyone stayed in a standard club-level room, and been unable to get a savanna view (when you've wanted it, that is, some people prefer pool view)? Also, does anyone know if the 1BR suites have a guaranteed view? As I understand with the 2BR villas on club level, there are 3 savannah view, and 2 pool view, and it's not guaranteed.

Any thoughts on if club level is worth is are also appreciated?

I read in a Walt Disney World guidebook that you can buy lifts for kids shoes so they can grow one inch to meet the height requirement for rides. Does this work? Where do you buy shoe lifts?

I will go to WDW in october with my friend. She is 18 and I'm 19. Here's the thing. I will go for about 2 weeks so I have time for everything in Disney. But do you guys think it will be weird if we go to the kids stuff like Mickey's PhilharMagic, It's Tough to be a Bug, or Voyage of The Little Mermaid?

I am debating if I should go and see La Nouba while I am in Orlando. I have seen 3 other Cirque shows (2 at South Coast Plaza and one in Las Vegas) and loved them. When my husband and I went to the other three, it was pre-kids. On our vacation we will have my almost 6 year old daughter and just turned 3 son. They are both very good at sitting still. Just wondering if it is worth it. Also what category is the best for the money. I don't want to pay a lot but also don't want nose bleed seats. I am not sure how big the stadium is for La Nouba. I wish my son was still 2 so that I wouldn't have to buy him a ticket too. Bummer!
