My wife & I have been living in our motorhome for the past four and one-half years. I don't believe you want to "live" in a motorhome, in one spot month in month out. If you are looking to beat property taxes, purchase a travel trailer or fifth wheel. You would be wasting the engine part of your home by just parking.
If this is what you want, you need to find someone who needs you around. We use the SEA/FMCA as a site to park when we are not traveling. I am their electrician, for rallies they put on and take care of the 100+ acres they lease. I mow 60+ acres and do electrical repairs that are needed.
Staying in a motor home, thru the winter, in NJ or NY would be brutal. First, the roof insulation is usually only 4" and the walls are 2". Second, the roof is not built for the snow load you would experiance that far north. If you still insist, look for a Bounder motor home, by Fleetwood. Their roof is more rounded than most. You will want the artic pac, if available. Lenght wise I would look for 38' or 39'. This lenght would give you 2 furnaces, propane powered. While parked you will want to rent a, no smaller, 100 gallon propane tank, to heat this place.
As previously posted look into either a Woodalls or Trailer Life RV Park directory. Then start calling around to find a campground, in the area you wish to live, that will be open, year round. You will be lucky to find one in that area.
Do like so many people do and travel to Florida, Texas or Arizona for the winter. Check my blog on Yahoo 360 to see how we handle fulltiming. We aren't rich by any means, but we travel when we wish. We have been to Canada, three times, including Newfoundland and Labrador. Last year we spent 5 months in Alaska. It's a differant life, all the freedom we enjoy.
Additional thoughts: I should explain the Artic pack. This would be: Dual pane windows on all windows except the windshield, denser insulation for a higher R-value, Heavier drapes on windows and expecially the windshield.

Find and purchase a " Woodhalls" campground guide. They have listings of campgrounds all over Canada, and United States, even some in Mexico. Also some detailed information regarding these places, prices, ect. also listings on state and federal area's.
