I've done two timeshare tours in Orlando, here is my opinion.
While that is a really good offer, I think that you should really consider different options. Timeshare tours are high pressure, they will take up a good part of your day and they just don't make your vacation very pleasant.
If you don't mind sitting through the presentation, than you definitely should do it. I prefer staying on site, over off-site, but the condos in the area are always nice.
I personally don't want to spend my vacation listening to someone try and sell me something, that I really don't find to be a value. When I went, I actually was interested in purchasing, but wasn't afterwards.
Basically, they will put you in one of thier nicer rooms. This way you get a good idea of what they are selling. Then, they schedule a date where you will get together to tour the property. They will take you around the property, take you on a tour of their condo, show you a video, tell you a little bit about all the benefits, etc. Then they will take you to another room where they will start to figure out some prices and show you all the benefits and how it can save you money and such. You will tell them you aren't interested several times, they will try to refigure some things to get you a better deal. Then their final attempt is to get a manager to see if they can work out a better deal for you. Then, once you say you aren't interested, they will let you go. But in order to get any free tickets or anything like that, you have to stay for the whole thing, they have to sign some papers and things that you have to get redeemed. They will be pretty disgusted once you are done if you decide not to purchase one, since they work off of comission, they can be kind of pushy. If you don't mind doing this, than it would definitely be worth it for you. I would say to estimate about a half-day to get through everything.
You do not have to buy them, but they are going to try and pressure you into a sale. But they will let you go even if you don't buy one, it may be difficult to get away but you can.
Like I said, I've done two of them in the past. While they do save you a lot of money, they can also be pretty annoying. Since I did the first two, I decided to either stay on site or just pay full price for the condo.
I personally don't think it is worth it, no matter how low the cost is.
I don't think that the timeshare tour in it itself is a scam, just because they do give what they say they will (it is just really annoying) but I would say that actually buying a timeshare is a scam. I would never buy a timeshare, to be honest I don't ever see how they could be worth what you put into them.
Hope this helps!

In my opinion, and just as stated before by tech_fanatic, Timeshares are not really a scam, but they are very annoying. To tell you the truth, I think of them as a waste of time. You end up being tied up on the who presentation plus the "sales pitch" more than 3 hours! Sure the tour is 90mins, but just like tech_fanatic said, once the Tour is over they will continously try to sell you the Timeshare with several offers. They really won't give up until the very end.
I myself also went to a Timeshare tour in the past, I got cheap tickets to Disney, however I ended up wasting my entire Morning doing so, by the time I got to the theme park, I only got to enjoy about 5 hours.
Honestly, in my opinion the best way is to book your vacation through a travel agent or a Tour Operator. It may look a litte more expensive than the "Timeshare", however there is no need for any annoying and time-consuming tours. If you would like to, we are a tour operator here in Orlando, we would be more than happy to assist you in setting up a vacation package. Good Luck and hope you have fun in Florida!

Timeshares are a MISTAKE!!! The local news does at least one story a year about timeshares being fraudulent. Oh, and don't believe that one guys who is talking about Mystic Dunes.. I'm sure he works for them, NONE of those presentations are really 90 minutes.. more like 2 hours.
Whats REALLY funny is the interstate tours guy down there who puts down timeshares so he can sell you a tour, ahaha.

The "timeshare people" were not very pushy when it comes to selling their properties. I have actually went to their 90 min. presentation in Mystic Dunes Resort in Orlando, FL. We ended up buying a time share because of the great deals in getaway vacations, airline ticket discount and cruise, and exchange resort package. It is quite costly to keep a time share property. You have to consider the maintenance and taxes per year and your monthly mortgage payment on the property, but overall it's been a great experience. The company also emails me promotions such as last minute deals on resorts and vacations packages, If you go to their 90-minute presentation, they would give you 50% discount on ticket for Seaworld or Disneyworld.
