Driving south on 84/95 from New England to NC -- How bad is traffic between Hartford, NYC, and New Jersey on Saturday afternoon? Is it worth going west (84) to avoid? Thanks for tips.

Okay, just heard word from my boyfriend we are going on vacation in New York City. I have to do all the planning.
I don't know the cities and need to know while planning what citites are "bad" like I heard Queens and Harlem are bad. is this true are there parts that are bad. Please inform me on Where to avoid.

We want to be close to down town, We are flying in from St. Louis either the end of this month or begining of next.

I'm from Montreal, Quebec Canada, and my friend and I want to start making plans for a 10 day trip to nyc by bus in the summer of 2008. I would just like to know if any of yous know of any websites that have buses going from montreal to new york, or just some kind of website where i can learn about/book a trip to new york. We will have 3 very big suitcases, so we can't take the Subway or a public bus, keep that in mind.

Also, how long approx (in minutes) does it take from JFK to Manhatten.

We will be staying at the Hotel Edison, anyone ever stayed there b4 or heard any feedback from this hotel?
