Along with doing all the touristy stuff (Statue of Liberty, Times Square, etc), have lunch or dinner at Serendipity Three on the Upper East Side (61st st, I think.). Down the block at 1011 3rd Ave is Dylan's Candy Bar, a candy store owned by the daughter of Tommy Hilfiger. Take time to walk down the steps & look down at the embedded pieces of candy used as decoration. I also like walking through Central park, but be sure to take a map with you - it's easy to get lost in there.

I have been to New York three times.

I have seen a Broadway show each time, too. I would recommend seeing one if you can. The tickets are 100 dollars and you can stand in line at the door for rush tickets if you can't get them ahead of time.
The shows I saw were Thoroughly Modern Millie, Beauty and The Beast, and The Pajama Game.
I loved them all. The Pajama game is the most recent, Harry Connick Jr was in it but I'm not sure if he still is, also Kelly O'Hara is in it, too.
Christy Carlson Romono was in BATB for a while but, again, I'm not sure if she still is. Also Analesa VanDerPol (Chelsea in Disney's That's so Raven) is going to be Belle but I don't know if she has started yet.

I don't know how old you are so I don't know if you would be interested in seeing any of the people I named, or even knowing who they are, but Broadway show's are sweet.
There are a lot of other ones too, so look at your choices if you want to go.

Well, an American Girl store was there, but again, I don't know what you are interested in. The biggest Toys R' Us, i think, It even has a little Ferris Wheel inside.

Of course you have to walk around in Times Square. Also, Statue of Liberty and Eiffel Tower, you don't have to go, but just to say you've been there you might want to. For the Statue of Liberty you have to take a boat over and there is a museum and stuff there, too. It took us foreve to get to the top of the tower but it was still fun.

There is a Hershy Chocolate store, I would recommend going there.
Have fun!
