Ok, I'm going to be a senior next year and I have plans of moving to Miami after I graduate. I want to stay in a dorm and I'm planning to attend a school of Art. I want to be a Fashion Designer,Photographer or a Cartoonist.

Can you guys advice me things I should need to do how to move out, etc...?

I am travelling to Ft. Lauderdale next week with my 6-year old daughter. We will be staying near FXE, the executive airport. Many people that now live in Miami are from somewhere else?? Do you miss home or do you love Miami??
I always have visited and loved Miami as a tourist. My cousin and some friends(from san diego, chicago and nyc) live in SOBE and North Miami Beach now and love it.

Everytime I visit, It seems like an expensive paradise. I can afford it, but noticed some people move there and then move back. Why is that?? For the people not from Miami that moved there, how do you like it?? Anything you would warn me about living in Sobe?? Im considering moving to Miami and what to know every little pro and con before I make the jump??

I live in Atlanta, and meet a lot of people here in Atlanta that have moved here from Miami and I have to wonder why?? Besides being cheaper, why would you want to move to Atlanta from Miami?? I want to move from Atlanta to Miami!

Some people absolutely love it but some people dont, and I want to know why??

Do any Miami hotels offer complimentary airport AND port shuttles? If we stay at a hotel with an airport shuttle, would we go back to the airport in the moring to find a shuttle to the port? Is it better to take a shuttle or a cab (I'd hate to be stuck in long lines of traffic with a meter ticking). Thanks for the information! Only 2 of us are traveling this time, so I don't have to worry about a ton of luggage.

Im a 23 year old single male. I'm about to graduate from penn state with a bachelors degree in Information Sciences and Technology. I have been eyeing miami as a place to move and get a job, I have been looking for jobs there and i have found some good results in my field. Realisticaly, how much do you need to make a year to have a decent life down there, being single i would be looking for a 1 bedroom apartment, or something comparable. The closer i would live to the beach the better. Basically, i dont want to move there and be scrounging for pennies to pay my bills.

I know this may be a silly question and i should be making my own dicistions. But I am a plumber and im seriously considering moving to Miami, You know with my job being in constuction trade, what are my chances of finding a job in my field, my question is with me moving to miami and what are the job opitunitys and whats the average wage of a plumber in florida? I know this may be a silly/stupid question? but I am a baker/pastry cook and is seriously considering moving to Miami for career reasons, I know with many jobs being in the service industry that chances are I may find a job in my field, my question is with me moving for more money and growth (I understand that Miami has a fairly high cost of living) is it really worth it?
