Okay if she is from out of state you have got to take her to South Beach! People really don't get the chance to experience a place like this. Go to the beach for the day, walk around South Beach, look at the shops and buildings. Get a bite to eat there. You might also want to take her to Coconut Grove, that is a really cool area to walk around there are also some cool shops there....Remeber it does not cost to window shop!
Can you have a BBQ or something at your place? Maybe invite a few of your local friends? It gives your friend from out of state a chance to see what your life really is like at home and meet some of the people you have been talking about. Hamburgers and hotdogs are cheap.
Are there any festivals going on while she is down there? Those are fun, music, some type of food festival or something. Those are usually pretty cheap enetertainment. Check out the Miami Chamber of Commerce or Visiors website I bet that they have a list of events going on in the area. Something diffrent for the both of you. I would also contact them because, even though you live there the visitors packet has COUPONS which save money! They have them for all kinds of things, attractions food ect....it would be worth your time to save some cash.

Are either of you nature people? What about taking a drive down to the Everglades Park? Pretty cool place if you like nature, cheap things to do. Are there any other parks in the area that might be of interest to the two of you? Just something to think about.
For nightlife what about going over to the Design district? There are some really cool new clubs over there and some great bars to hang out in. Go durring happy hour or contact the clubs and found out what night they have specails. That is another good tip for saving money, if there is a club or bar you have been wanting to check out visit their website and see when the specails are then go try it out with our friend. You could check out some of the local comedy clubs, that is always fun.
There is tons to do in Miami, ask your friend what she would like to do! Remember all the tourist stuff you have done she has not so any of that would be fun for her. I hope this helps have a great time! By the way there a ton of movie festivals coming up in the next few months they are always cheap and you get a whole night out of it check this site out:

Okay Shlane
Here are some suggestions
1) Bayside, you can people watch window and do an inexpensive boat tour. You can go to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Food is inexpensive and good
2) South Beach. great times walking around along Lincoln Road. there is also a cool shop on Washington Ave where they sell cheap but nice jewlery and incense. It's not too far from Moshi Moshi a sushi restaurant which is not too hard on the pocket book
3) You can try the 11th St Diner, which is just beside "Twist" the club of the South Beach drag queens. If you have ever seen a movie called "Wigstock" some of those drag queens go there. The Diner is a great greasy spoon and sometimes you see a few celebs come in
But if you go to South Beach, you have to go by "Mango's" bartender eye candy is very nice
4) In Hollywood, O'Malleys on the beach. There is also a hole in the wall dive with really good cheap greasy inexpensive seafood called Tarq's. It's just above Johnson Street off of US 1
5) If you are up for a culinary adventure, try Kara's or Aunt I's in Pembroke Pines, or Cool Runnings in Miramar
6) Las Olas Riverwalk, inexpensive boat rides
7) Just take a drive down Collins Ave from Aventura down to South Beach, views are great. Walk around and chat with the locals, tell them" I am tourist just north of here- Broward County" because sometimes it does feel as if you are in another world.
8) Beach Place Ft. Lauderdale- can go swimming at the beach and make across the street to a few cool hangouts just before Sunrise Blvd
9) Hollywood Beach, O'Malleys
10) go to Coconut Grove, parts of cocowalk are reopening so that would be a great experience.

Okay my brain is fried right now, if I think of anything else, i'll add it.
