Only you know if it's TOO hot. But objectively, it is hot - and humid. Fortunately everything is air conditioned.

Well, I have family that lives in Ft. Lauderdale and I've been there during the summer, I don't remember what month exactly, but it was probably close to August. Anyway, it definately going to be HOT!! It's really hot and humid in south Florida. Also, it rains a lot. So if you go to the beach, bring an umbrella! When I was there we went to the beach and it started raining really heavyily and we left the beach and went into a store and by the time we came back out the rain had stopped. So be prepared for it to rain on and off constantly throughout the day.
It's a great place to visit despide the somewhat unpredictable weather/rain. I loved it and really didn't want to go home!

August is the hottest month of the year in any state in the U.S. The average temperature in Miami in August is about 93 degrees, with high humidity. I've lived in NY, and it would reach 99 in August. Rather be in Miami where the beaches are beautiful and every hotel has a pool.

July and August are typically the months with the hottest weather - getting up into the 100s. It's also EXTREMELY humid.

yes is hot here and humid also between the months of May and November is the Hurican Season so watch the weather. But is nice and fun specially the beach.

we are having a very hot humid summer and a terrible drought. We don't know when this weather is going to change but its not very good.

M'kay, so, you might wanna pack some shorts. I've taken several trips down there, and it gets pretty hot.
So, yeah. I'd advise packing light clothes. It gets really hot there even in the spring.
