I am going to start working in Long Beach and need to find a place to live. I use Craigslists to find houses to rent and there are none that suit me in Long Beach so I need to know which other areas I can search and still be within 20min driving to near the airport.
The other areas are
Westside-soutbay/ SF Valley/ Central LA/ San Gabriel Valley/Antelope Valley
are any of those places 20 from the Airport near longbeach?

I'm moving to the Southern California area very shortly and i regularly participate in Craft Shows, Craft Festivals, Art Fairs, Street Fairs, etc. I was wondering are there alot of the events I listed above in the southern calif. area? Are they all year round since the weather is so nice? Is there a varitey from Big street fairs to like High Schools who hold craft shows? Is that a big thing in L.A.?

Whenever a fire dept. EMT ambulance goes out on an emergency call, a fire truck goes too. What for? I read that 80% of fire truck trips are for medical emergencies, and only 20% for fires. What do the firefighters do on these medical trips? Stand around and watch? Isn't it a waste of time & money to send a fire truck along with the ambulance when someone has a medical emergency?

I'm moving to California next June, and was wondering what is the best city in Southern California to live at? I was going to move to Los Angeles until I heard how bad it was there. I was going to move to San Diego till I found out how expensive it was. I'm going there to start my music and acting career in Show Business.
