I would say maybe 10 to 15% are aspiring film artists. What I mind is bad service. I should hope the person who is waint on me is looking forward to school, a new career and uses the wait job as a means of self improvement. that is what I did. I am not in the entertainment industry. A lot of my friends are and they were waiters.

I make sure I tip extremely well to help them reach their goals!
And actually, 90% of the people in LA are film whores. This is why it's the land of pretty people. Folks will jog 5 miles every day, but circle the parking lot 17 times to find a space close to the entrance.
You gotta start somewhere.

Nah. It's part of the charm and of the culture. Would Paris be the same without the aspiring artists? LA is a wonderful place in it's own right - different from the rest of the world; a unique city that you yourself might miss if you were forced to leave it at a moment's notice, yes?

As long as the food is quick, hot and good, I don't care what they want to do with their lives.
I do mind how pathetic the jealousy is that such a staggering number of people outside of LA, OC and SD have towards those of us smart enough to live in Southern California.
By the way, it is about 75 and sunny in Pasadena today.

No, not at all... I think most of us appreciate having attractive waitstaff. Of course, an idiot is an idiot, and there's no excuses for that.
