Moving out to California within a month or so for work and was just curious about the drive between Orange County to San Bernardino area. I know traffic is horrible and this distance is more than most would want to deal with, but just curious about it anyways. If I were to do the moring commute around 5:30am, what kinda time am i looking at? I know the commute home is always going to be different and never quick.

How much does a job like Target or walmart pay out there? How can people afford to buy a home for $500,000 or more??

Intead of paying $15 for parking, what's the cheapest way to get to the Staples Center? Is there cheaper parking around? Where and is it safe?

Or, instead of driving, is public transportation a good option? I'm coming from Camarillo and will have a toddler with me. So, I can't walk too far. If I have to walk and use a stroller, is there a stroller check-in at Staples Center?

Prior to the fire, I-5 was as follows:

The southbound I-5 truck lanes separate from the main (car) lanes on the right, then go through a tunnel under all the main (car) lanes, emerge between the northbound main (car) lanes and the northbound truck lanes, then go through a second tunnel under all the main (car) lanes, and emerge on the right on the southbound main (car) lanes, which is where they began. Why was the road built like this? Why were the two tunnels, one of which burned, built, rather than just having the southbound truck lanes stay on the same side of the main (car lanes)?

I took that road recently since I was told that it would lead way to the top of the mountains and you could have a nice view from there. But then I only discovered a gate after about half a mile that did not let you go any farther. Does anyone know any other place in the mountains on the northern side of the San Fernando Valley that gives you a great overlook?

I ve heard different stories like, its beautiful with 400 thousand dollar homes. Then I hear its ghetto an full of drugs, an crack heads. I want to move to LA, but I need to know where is a good place to move close to nice University? I heard El Debarge lived in Palmdale, so I figured ok he's famous so it should be bad. An then I hear well, he's on drugs an is broke, so I figured ok, maybe this isnt a good place to live. I mean i dont want to come to Cali, hit Palmdale an pass out bc its so lame, an ghetto. Bonus question: I'll be leaving the pier around 8PM to catch a midnight flight out of LAX -- is there a bus that will take me back to the airport that late, or should I just call a cab? I currently live in Sydney and have the chance to move to LA.

The job I am doing only pays me about $22 an hour TOPS.
But I can do the same job in LA and get $60 an hour.

This means I will be getting $125,000 p.a instead of a lousy $45,000 p.a.

I've heard L.A is expensive will my salary keep me comfortable?

The only thing is I've never been to L.A, but I have got a family friend who has been living there for 3 years.

DO you think I should stay or go?
