Yes, it's a nice city in the northern part of Orange County, with a charming old town district. It's also got several large malls and parks to visit.
If you visit Old Towne Plaza, check out the antique stores and have lunch at Rutabagores. Great food, good prices, nice atmosphere.

I am now living in Anaheim in Orange County. The home to Disneyland, the Anaheim Angels, and the Mighty Ducks.
Orange County is north to San Diego County and south to Los Angeles County. From O.C, you drive 50 minutes, you get to see Universal Studio, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc. If you prefer destinations such as Sea World, San Diego Zoo, you drive south for 90 minutes.
The weather in Orange County is excellent. In winter, you could still go fishing on piers and you could see surfers in bodysuits riding waves in December.

Orange is pretty cool & close to the House of Mouse (Disney). It has lots of antique shops & an old time ice-creme drug store on the circle. Close to Irvine, Santa Ana (maybe not a good idea) Costa Mesa. Newport Bch.
