tips ie: do"s and don"ts whilst we carry out our journey. i am particularly worried about doing part of the journy thro the desert!!! id had to take the wrong turning and end up at the back of beyond!!! so come on you americans give and english rose some advice thanks a million.

My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Vegas and we hear that both of these hotels are nice. We've been to Vegas before and we liked their location (central strip), but we've never stayed at either. We really like to relax, eat, hang out by the pool and gamble a little. Any suggestions would be great!

No downtown locations, just Strip and near Strip (Rio, Palms, Hardrock etc). Explain why your choice is the best.

I'm planning on going to Las Vegas in the middle of December, but have no idea if I should fly or drive. Some people say it's safer to fly because of the snow storms in the desert, but others say it's cheapr to drive and not bad at all. Help! Who should I believe?

My friends and I are going to Las Vegas Dec 7th-10th 2007 from Chicago and have been checking all the sites (Orbitz, Priceline, etc) and all the ticket prices are the same around 300 dollars. Will they become cheaper closer to December or is price for the season? Thanks in advance.

Planning a bachelor party and wanting to go to Vegas. There will be four to six guys. Planning on flying out either friday night or saturday morning and flying back sunday. Want to stay at the Palms. On top of that, I'm looking at this package: VIP host, 8 hr limo(gratuity included), dinner at Gordon Biersch (gratuity included), VIP access to Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen's Club including VIP table with $250 bar credit and two exotic dancers for 1 hour, VIP table service at Pure nightclub (gratuity included) reserved table including 3 bottles of premium liquor + mixers. Price is quoted at $599 per person for six people.

Does this sound like a decent deal? Could I improve on this at all either entertainment wise or price wise? Remember, that does not include the airfare or hotel, of course.

Never been to Vegas so any advice from persons who have been there would be great.

Is the prices of housing going down or staying the same as last year? My husband and I are planning a move out there and we would like to know the best section to live in. We presently live in Pennsylvania, but we love Las Vegas. Also, another option we are thinking about.....any condos out there that are available for leasing? I am planing to visit Las Vegas on the weekend before Christmas for a day. I will be leaving LA to LV that morning and planing to leave LV the next day morning as we would want to see places in LA. Going there this week for the third time. I'm fine with looking like a visitor but I don't want to look "ultra touristy". The obvious wld be not to be loaded up with shopping bags and wearing a camera arround my neck sporting a big t-shirt that says Vegas Rules, but what other things shld I know? Also It's nov. and I know what the weather will be like but what do you locals think about people wearing slippers( flip flops) in the daytime? Do you hardly see that since its not summer time?
