Is the prices of housing going down or staying the same as last year? My husband and I are planning a move out there and we would like to know the best section to live in. We presently live in Pennsylvania, but we love Las Vegas. Also, another option we are thinking about.....any condos out there that are available for leasing? We would at least like to come out there for 5 months (during our winter).

Prices are dropping here for sure, it's definitely a buyers market. We are one of the highest states in the number of for closures so you can pick up one of those really cheap, about $150,000-200,000. As far as living in North Las Vegas, I do believe the previous posts were referring to the area around Civic Center. Definitely stay away from there but there are numerous beautiful homes in the Northern part of Vegas. I would stay away from the Eastern part, the West, Summerlin and the Southwest part of town is nice but more expensive. It's gotten really crowded here, traffic is really bad, it use to take me 8 minutes to get to work and now it is a 45 minute drive before 8am. Summers are horrible for the 1st 2 years, then you kind of get use to it if you can stand weather over 110. I know in Summerlin you can lease a furnished apt, they are nice but really expensive. Good Luck

Vegas is a great place to stay faraway from the vacationer factors. instructors are continually in call for for math and technological awareness. Clark County college District is the main important interior the rustic. Covers Henderson, Boulder city, North Las Vegas, Blue Diamond, Las Vegas, Jean, Primm, Mt Charleston, Laughlin, Glendale, Mesquite, and Indian Springs.

Usually six month rentals are the minimum. Less than 30 day rentals were just outlawed in Vegas. To find a furnished one might be difficult for a six month lease. Prices are dropping fast here. Still very expensive. Way pricier than PA.

Houses are defiantly going down. Everywhere is a nice place to live but downtown or in some parts of North Las Vegas.

I'll echo what the other person said... N.L.V. can be pretty sketchy. I'd avoid that area.

Yes, deals can be found -- the housing market is in bad shape--so you may be able to find a rental at a HECK of a price!!
