Do not buy and wear new shoes when you go to Vegas. Break them in weeks before. Nothing worse than a blister ruining a vacation.

Stay away from anyone on the strip who asks if you are going to be in town for a few days or if you want to go see a show for free. Too many timeshare salespersons around and you can get hooked into a nightmare of a time. Who needs a timeshare in Vegas? Just tell them you are leaving that night.

See as much of the free things to see as possible before you start spending your money on shows. Don't buy tickets for show before you come to Vegas. Once you are here you can find discount tickets for many of the shows. Why pay full price?

Stay on the strip if you aren't familiar with Vegas. Pretty safe on the strip. Do not rent a car and expect to drive everywhere. Traffic is so bad on the strip and really dangerous off of the strip. Drivers are crazy here.

Check the newspapers especially the Sunday Paper if you are here on a Sunday. They have quite a few coupon deals for locals but you can use them just as well.

Make use of the new trolley cars here. Ten bucks gets you an all day pass on the trolleys and the monorail. That is a real deal and you can get most anywhere on the strip and downtown on them.

Bring a good digital camera and take lots of photos. You can compare with the next time you come how things change so fast here. So many great locations to take some real good photos.

Be sure to check out the Bellagio fountains. Stay for several shows. Each one is different and if you have a camcorder make sure it is well charged to film it. Best spot to tape it is at the corners of the fountains. That way you can get the whole view of it. If you stand in the middle , it is so wide that you can't get all that is happening. Also stand by one of the poles that has a speaker on top. The musice will sound pretty good on the tape.

So much to know and do. Have fun.

We took a shuttle bus from the airport. It was $12 roundtrip. There was a 2 hour wait for a cab and traffic was crazy. It cost us $5 to have an all day bus pass.

Wear comfortable shoes!!! If you buy new ones.....make sure you break them in before you go.

Some free things to do: Fountians at Belliago, Volcano at Mirage, Pirate show at Treasture Island, light show downtown and much more.

Check out Tix for Tonight (think that's what it's called) for discounted tickets to many of the shows. We got tickets to Legends In Concert for 1/2 price. I think our tickets for Madame Tussaud's were about 1/2 price too.

M&M world was pretty cool. We didn't make it to the outlet stores, but I hear they are excellent.

There are also many tours that you can go on. We took a tour to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. It was amazing. I would highly recommend it if you have the time.

There is so much to do there. I had a blast. We got a lot of information off lasvegas.com. It gave a list of all the different things at each casino, what it cost and what was free. It also listed all the places to eat and the price ranges. It was kind of nice to use that to get an idea what our food expense would be.

I also agree with the statement (from another person) about the timeshares. It is awful. They just don't leave you alone. They want you to sit in all these seminars etc. They started asking us if it was our first time in Vegas, how long were we there.....on and on. We just kept telling them that our flight was leaving that day and they left us alone. They told us to have a good day.

There is so much to do there. Have fun!!

"Stay away from anyone on the strip who asks if you are going to be in town for a few days or if you want to go see a show for free." I agree. They want to sell you a time share. A good way to get rid of them is to tell them you are leaving that day.

Take enough money for a hire car so you can get away from the place........you will see what i mean when you get there. Go and spend a couple of days at the Tolivar Hotel on the south rim of the Grand Canyon, beats the nightmare of Vegas hands down.

I use to live there and although it is in the desert it does get chilly in the winter so make sure you have some warm clothes. give yourself a daily allowance or you might blow it all in a couple of days. Lake Mead is a good place to go if you want to get away from the city and is not to far to go or Mount Charleston is fun if you want to play in the snow. don't forget the hoover dam as well.

quite some distinctly little chapels ... once you're doing it on a whim. once you're fairly 'making plans' a marriage... do it at between the chapels in a good inn. The Flamingo has countless captivating places on sources to tie the knot... that way you're able to do dinner proper there, occasion the night away and might stroll on your room to fall-out. the choose shelter each and all the preparations: plant lifestyles, cake, track, photographer, decorations, champagne toast. All you do is take your gown, his tournament and your entourage and you're good to pass. that is not extraordinarily high priced. a woman from my workplace did this and had it video-conferenced. all of us deliver collectively collectively, tuned it in on the television and watched her get married. It replaced into distinctly cool.... as she replaced into walking pass into opposite the aisle after the ceremony... she gave us a thumbs up sign. It replaced into exciting to visual show unit and be waiting to share her day with us. Her boss and co-workers stood in a line and acted as 'the receiving line' as we left the room whilst it replaced into over. distinctly cool, resourceful and resourceful. See, we are nonetheless conversing approximately it. Like I pronounced... spend somewhat extra funds and do it at a inn. Your innovations would be that extremely extra particular if that is stylish as a replace of cheesy.
