We want to visit Las Vegas sometime next year. When is the best time to try and go? We are more interested in the lowest prices than with weather (we all grew up in California and are used to 105 degree weather durring heat waves and very cold weather as well). Any advice you can offer would be great! Thanks!

I'm going on a vacation to Las Vegas, and I never go anywhere without my tennis game. I'm looking for courts other than hard court, since that's what I've been playing in almost all my life.

Has anyone done the Secret Garden/Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage in Las Vegas? If so, is it worth seeing?

The Strip, obviously, but what else should I make a point of seeing? I want to see stuff that rules.

I read that if you tip the person that checks you in when you arrive at your hotel in Las Vegas they will be more inclined to upgrade your room for free. Is this true? If so, when exactly do you tip (obviously before they assign your room) & how much??? How do you go about doing it without looking awkward & dumb???

Do you have to be in a building? I remember that on New Year's Eve you could walk around carrying things but they couldn't be glass.

I'm planing to drive from Vegas to Yosemite NP in late Aug. I'll depart in the early morning, drive through the Death Valley NP, take route 395, and spend the night in Mammoth Lakes. I've booked Curry Villiage for the next two days in Yosemite. It's been suggested to do so because it's a long way between Vegas and Yosemite. Also, there are some great views along the road that is worth spending a whole day to take a easy drive. Please provide me your suggestion. How many hours it would take for this drive? Are there really some good scenic spots along the road that we should take some time on it? How should I arrange my time in that day? Any suggestion to stop for the lunch? Thanks a lot!!!

Hi,
Does Las Vegas have any old style hotels or motels left, with that 50's vibe/architecture, or have they all been redeveloped now?

Thanks
