i like both, rooms are comparable in my opinion, casinos are comparable as well, the big factor for me is location, aladdin is more centrally located on the strip while luxor is more towards the end.

The Luxor has a better rating...
But I am sure anyone would be happy with either one.
We just looked up some packages for Luxor in September out of Detroit for two people with Non Stop Air for three nights in a standard room was $887 but if you wanted to fly with stops and some off times it was $650. So if you thinking about going look at this August for some hot deals and weather.

The Luxor has much nicer decor, restaurants, and entertainment (great rides!). The Aladdin is ok to visit, but they're renovating and changing over to become the Planet Hollywood Casino, so it's definitely messy and crowded. BUT, they probably have better deals because of that. The Luxor also has a nice tramway to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur casinos.

Luxor. Definately Luxor. Good shopping, and awesome Egyptian atmosphere. Plus it has a giant light at the top. No matter where you are on the strip, you'll always be able to find your way back.

I love the Luxor. The rooms are so unusual, as they're built around the inner pyramid. It's really weird, I'll say, when you walk out your room and look down into the interior of the pyramid. I have fear of heights, and I had to almost hug the walls when I walked down the corridor, but that's the fun of being in Vegas. Everything is exciting and strange!

Aladdin is going out of business, and will probably not be the same arabian theme pretty soon.
Luxor was a good hotel. Sure it has it's peculiararities, but you will never hear anyone in Vegas say "that's just TOO tacky".

We've never stayed in either, but we've walked through both of them. I think that the Luxor is newer and probably has nicer rooms, but I'm not sure. Either one of them is probably okay. We always stay at Treasure Island. It's in good condition and is reasonably priced.

Anyplace but the Luxor. Their rooms are very creepy. Can't really say why - I think that they are just designed to make you leave your room and go gamble.
