There are many family-friendly activities in Las Vegas. Try Circus Circus or New York New York. Take a gondola ride at the Venetian. See the Pirate show at Treasure Island. Go to Stratosphere and ride the roller coaster, if they are old enough and tall enough. Las Vegas Hilton has a Star Trek themed experience which is fun for kids who like sci-fi. There is alot more to do in las Vegas than meets the eye.

Pool, Movies, video games in some hotels, shop... but please remember no matter how much stuff people list not everything is close... strip hotels are good walks from each other, only a few are conected by train or such. But all of them are VERY BIG and it is easy to get lost in them. The best thing is to take the kids somewhere different and the parents (and those over 21) go to Vegas because no matter what the kids will be board after a day or two.

Was just there last week with my kids. We went shopping in the Aladdin, they had a Build a Bear workshop there. We saw the Tournament of Kings show at the Excalibur and got to eat with our hands! The best was the indoor theme park at Circus Circus. You can purchase a wristband and they can ride all the rides as many times as they want on the day you buy them.
We had a great time!

google "free thngs in vegas for kids", I found free things, like the Tiger Display at the MGM the acrobat show at the Tropicanna were great.

Other things, there's the roller coaster in NYNY, there's also a great indoor/outdoor amusement park within walking siatance of the strip, the effiel tower, the water show at the Belligario, the M&M museum near MGM, and there's an AMC theater near that.

You'l find losts when you hit those vegas tavel sites

Las Vegas is a great place for kids. Like some of the other posters have mentioned, the highlights that most first time tourists will hit are Circus Circus and some of the amusements at other strip hotels. However there is much more for kids and there is certainly too much to do in a single trip. Unless you plan in advance your kids will be saying that they didn’t get to do everything that they wanted to do.

On Strip:
-Many video game arcades in most hotel casinos
-Adventure dome at Circus Cicus where they can ride rides all day
-Midway at Circus Circus where they can play games and win prizes
-Shark encounter at Mandalay Bay
-Lion exhibit at MGM
-Magic Shows (Lance Burton, xtreme magic, Rick Thomas, Danny Gans)
-Many of the Cirque de Solie shows are suitable for children (Ka, Mystere, O)
-IMAX movies at Luxor
-3D Motions simulator rides at Ceasers
-Fountains of Bellagio
-Sirens of Treasure Island
-Tiger exhibit at Mirage
-Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat
-Blue Man group at the Venetian
-Gondola Ride at the Venetian
-Tournament of Kings dinner show at Excalibur
-Many of the Hotels have fabulous pools including Mandalay Bay and others

Off Strip:
-Movies, bowling
-Family fun park with go-carts, mini putt and more
-Sight seeing tours, Red Rock, Mt. Charleston, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon more
-Off road tours
-Horseback riding
-Many area museums including a hands-on kids museum.

Hang aroun in a hotel whilst the adults gamble and have fun. On the plus side...the kids have room service!
