Hi,
Does Las Vegas have any old style hotels or motels left, with that 50's vibe/architecture, or have they all been redeveloped now?

Thanks

I just stayed there! "Fremont Street Experience", about 2 miles north of the Stratosphere. The Plaza, Golden Nugget, Fremont, Las Vegas Club, Four Queens, Fitzgeralds are all there. I stayed at the Golden Nugget and loved it! You can walk to Las Vegas Blvd (2 blocks) and take The Deuce (bus) to the strip for $2 or $5 for all day.

Golden Nugget in Downtown vegas is probably the best of the older hotels. It was just redone on the inside in the casino and rooms. I have always stayed on the strip, but next time I will be trying something different and probably will opt for Golden Nugget.

Yes...go to any website that talks about old Las Vegas which is located in the downtown area..as a matter of fact I can't remember the name of the street but we went there several years ago and they have fantastic light show in the main drag of downtown Vegas..Try the Frontier, Golden Nugget..those are the two I remembered..they are usually cheaper as well...

The Sahara is still doing business and has no plans to change.
Tropicana has two more years of life left. These are both built in the 50's
otherwise you need to hit Downtown for the old ones.

Tropicana still has much of the original as does Stardust. Circus-Circus - mid 60s. Downtown fine & not smokey or otherwise. Soon will be none even incl Downtown though 1941 El Cortez still clearly visible even with minor changes in front & small tower in back.

In the downtown area you can find them, not the strip. Although the Hilton at the north end is pretty old; the Flamingo a bit too.

Ugh, yes. On one of our trips we went downtown to Fremont Street where the old ones are. I was NOT impressed--too crowded and close and smoky. Give me the big ones on the strip any day.
