Depending on what you want.

Hotel w/ Pool (Strip) - Mandalay Bay. THE best (and largest) pool in Vegas. If lounging around is what you want then this is the place.

Hotel (Strip) no Pool - Barbary Coast is the gem of the Strip. It has THE best location and is usually decently priced. This is a smaller casino/hotel so you don't get the glitz of the mega-resorts. Home of the best Ultra-Lounge in Vegas (Drai's After Hours)

Best Value in Vegas - The Orleans hands down is the best bang for the buck in Vegas. It is off strip but there ae shuttles that go to the strip every 30 mintes.

If you want to splurge - Bellagio. If you want to say "I stayed at the best place in Vegas this is the place. Be prepared to spend the $$$

Best Old School Hotel. - The Stardust. I really enjoy the 'dust. It is set for demo very soon, so if you want to experience it before it goes it is a good place for the South Strip.

Best North Strip - Luxor. I have stayed here several times and I love it every time. It can be a little disorenting and very strange riding in an elevator that goes diagnally. I like history you can learn about Egypt here.

Best Downtown. - Without a doubt the Golden Nugget. There is not even another property that can challenge the Nugget.

The Best Dive - Fitzgeralds - Looking for Vegas on the cheap?

If this is your first time I would recommend the Tropicana. It's affordable and located on the strip. You could spend 2 weeks just walking around looking at all the sites and still not see everything. The Stratosphere is nice but it is a long way from anything. You have to take a cab to get to see anything. The Lady Luck is nice and affordable. It's down town. Downtown is a good place to see. You have a cobble stone plaza to walk around in with no cars to watch out for. The over head show is a must see. They put on a different show every hour after dark. I love going to Las Vegas. I've been going every year for the past 9 years. I spend about 8 days there. If you watch the specials and go in the off season you will save a lot of money. If you have kids it would be fun for them at the Circus Circus. If you don't have kids then stay away from Circus Circus. The place is loaded with kids everywhere.

If you can swing it with the money, I'd recommend, Wynn, Luxor, Bellagio, Treasure Island, Palms, Hard Rock, The Venetian, Mandalay Bay, or Cesars Palace. If not, just stay anywhere, even a hotel in old downtown Las Vegas and then you can drive wherever you want to go in like 10 minutes. The first 3 are just so nice. Really you can stay wherever and just go around to the different attractions and gaming. I had a blast at the Casino at a little dump called Binions in Downtown LV last time I went.

We stayed at Venetian very last year, and it changed into superb. each of the known rooms are small suites there, and they are truly positive. The residing section has an lcd television, sectional settee, espresso table, table, and table & chairs. The mattress room section is a few steps up and has yet another lcd, a respectable closet, a textile cloth wardrobe, and the mattress. The mattress changed into very comfortable! the bathroom has a smaller lcd to boot, and it changed into huge. We had tremendous service there and loved the region of the inn. Bellagio is likewise very positive, yet typically extra severe priced, quite for a series over a customary room there. the region is tremendous, and that is a gorgeous sources. i have continuously stumbled on it somewhat stuffy, yet we can probably attempt staying there next time we bypass. THEhotel is likewise great positive, and the pool complext at Mandalay is fantastic. region isn't acceptable, because it is on the top of the strip. MGM isn't as fancy as any of the different houses, notwithstanding it is nonetheless a positive position with a thrilling vibe.

A couple of the nicest, and most expensive are Wynn and Bellagio. Treasure Island, Mirage, New York New York, Monte Carlo, MGM, Luxor, Venetian are all nice and on the strip. Golden Nugget is the nicest downtown. Just depends on what you want to spend.

Depends on you. If you want cheap rooms off strip or downtown have great deals. If your gonna stay on strip steer clear of mega resorts! Check on some of the older big hotels like Circus Circus or Sahara! I stayed at Sahara in Feb of last year and we had a wonderful time. Prices were VERY affordable and it was close to many things we wanted to do like Circus. Also it (Sahara) had a station for Monorail which would take us many of the places we wanted to go. The Casino was large and we won about 55% of what we gambled. They had rides and large arcade as well as a Nascar area. All in all we plan on staying there again next Feb. Food was good etc/ Like I said its position on strip is walking distance to many other things you may want to see like Circus Circus (across street) That would be my suggestion, hope that helps

Just about anywhere on the strip is fine. I'd suggest Imperial Palace on a tight budget. If you want to spend a little more for a nicer place, go Luxor, Monte Carlo, or Treasure Island. If you want the best, go Venetian, Bellagio, or Wynn.

I like staying at Paris--it's right in the middle of the strip across from Bellagio---and they usually have pretty decent rates (it all depends on when you are going).
I also like the restaurants, they have a great steak place (les Artiste and Mon Ami Gabi is awesome!; they also have a fabulous buffet!
The casino is nice, kinda small but OK--the sports book is also OK.
The pool is nice, a bit small--but serves the purpose. The spa is also a bit small but nice and relaxing.

That would depend on how much you want to spend. At the lower end (on the strip), I found the Flamingo and Luxor to be pretty nice for around $150/night. At the high end, the new Wynn is fantastic but it's easily $300+/night.
