Do you have to be in a building? I remember that on New Year's Eve you could walk around carrying things but they couldn't be glass.

Everybody keeps saying "only on the Strip", but they're forgetting about Downtown, as well. Yes, you can wander from one casino to another with your drink, either on Las Vegas Blvd or on Fremont Street. You can't drink in the back of a limousine, though, which seems odd.

Yes as long as you stay on the strip. I work on the strip and I answer this question all day long. No matter what the container is made of it is ok on the strip. On New Years, no hotel or liquor store within 2 miles of the strip is allowed to sell glass containers, but that is ONLY on New Years.

Yes. As long as it's not in glass containers.

HOWEVER, you can not be in a vehicle - not even a cab or limo, with open alcohol. The only way that's allowed is in the party buses.

yes you can....they even have special stands and "to go" type cups/bottles on the street. But be careful while "walking under the influence" since almost everyday there are reports of "pedestrian hit on the strip" on the news.

i carry booze everywhere in vegas. actually, downtown, you cannot drink package booze (cans of beer etc.) on the FSE. it needs to be in a container from a casino. (bottles, those lousy miniature highball glasses)
