We'll be in Vegas with our teen-age daughters and would like to see an afternoon show (magic or comedy or ?). We've seen the Mac King show (thought it was great), so that one is out.

I am thinking of moving and opening a business in Las Vegas or Reno Nevada. I will likely have children. I love the plentifully activities, great low cost restaurant joints, affordable luxury apartments and night city lights. Here it is....... I have heard that Vegas has a lot of low life's and it is not a place to raise children non the less to bring a lady or even myself. I hear you can not seperate yourself from the negetivity and influenced people of gambeling, street prostitusion and alcohole to under age kids. Is Vegas or Reno a decent place to live and bring up children if I do NOT live next to the strip? Secondly.......I ran across one or more obserd coments online that Vegas has little to do if you DON'T like gambeling and strip clubs, true? My third and Final Question about Vegas is that I am a big INDOOR open Basketball geek. Having lived in Michigan INDOOR open B Ball was populare in the winter as well as the hot summers. What about Vegas?

I currently reside in Hawaii and am thinking of relocating to las vegas. I love hawaii (the people,the weather) but it is a very expensive place to live especially for myself and my fiance who want to rent for the first time. Also, I know there are more job opportunites in the mainland aswell. Most importantly, we are ready for change and are willing to adjust. Any tips/advice?

I live by the beach and will be making a trip to Vegas. I plan to dress in Jeans/T-Shrits just as I do everyday where I live. I realize this attire is not acceptable for upscale restaurants/clubs, but what other establishments will I encounter a problem with this type of dress? Thanks

I am planning a trip to Vegas for 3 or 4 nights and would like advice on where to stay and what to do. I have never been before.

* I'm traveling alone.
* Gambling is not a big deal for me.
* I love music (rock, folk, classical)
* I'd like excellent food & excellent service.
* The hotel room should be OK but not extravagent.
* Would like to frequent a place where single people hang out.
* I am in my mid 40s.
* I have about $1200 for air/hotel/fun.
