Any way you go it is the long way around.. You can go out the 10 to Blythe, then up the 95...A good 100 miles longer on some twisty roads up near Needles. You can go out the 10 then up to Yucca Valley, then over to 29 Palms, then up to Amboy then, north on Kilbaker up to Death Valley and Parumph, then east to Vegas.. The last route is scenic .. out of the way and only fun on a motorcycle or sports car.. good luck.
