Definitely. I have used Thrifty (and Dollar, same company) at McCarran airport in Vegas (LAS) almost every time I've gone there. They are excellent.
Their shuttle bus is small but definitely equipped to carry at least 10 passengers plus ALL their luggage. If worse comes to worse, and the shuttle is full, another shuttle will come to the terminal within only a few minutes, so it's no big deal.
They have plenty of cars available. My recommendation is to reserve a compact car, and get that rate, and when you get to Thrifty, if they are out of compact, they will let you take an upgrade. The risk, of course, is that they might have a compact, but if that's the case just go back to the desk and upgrade and pay the rate you would have paid for a bigger car.
Their lot is great, there are several aisles, each one with a different level of car. So if the aisle of economy cars is empty (and they do lose those first) then the guy in the lot will tell you it's OK for you to take a bigger car or even a mini-van for the same rate! You get to choose your car from the aisle that you are told to choose from, or from the aisle that the guy in the lot tells you to go to.
When the shuttle drops you off, don't worry about beating the other people from your shuttle to the cars, because if they take the last cars from your aisle then you get to upgrade for free.
I'd recommend trying to get one of the Dodge Intrepids, they are great cars, or if you have a LOT of luggage, go for a mini-van. As I mentioned, it's possible you'll get an upgrade to one of these for either free or they may offer it to you for only a couple bucks more than the compact car rental rate.
You will be in great shape with Thrifty at Las Vegas airport, they are EXCELLENT!!! Oh, check out the rates at Dollar also, they are the same company, but sometimes one is cheaper than the other. They both have the same exact operation and setup with the whole car-choosing and upgrade situation.

If you mean the shuttle from the airport to the car rental facility, I have never seen rental companies use anything smaller than a mini-bus for this service. But, if in doubt, you can always call the 800 number and ask them.

I've rented from Thrifty in LV many times, and they definitely use shuttle buses that can handle probably 10 to 15 people and all their luggage.
