Can anyone out there tell me the quickest way to get from Terminal 1 at Heathrow to Terminal 4. I am flying from Dublin to London over the Xmas period and then from LHR to Calgary. I have never travelled from one terminal to another. Can you go by bus or do you have to go by train? Any map directions would be very appreciated. Thanks.

I don't really hve any idea how the weather is in london and paris in late december/early january. is it REALLY snowy there? should i wear a puffy huge jacket or is a wool peacoat sufficent to keep me warm? it would also be nice if you provided a picture of a jacket that is needed from any shopping websites like alloy, delias, nordstrom, abercrombie, forever21, etc. is this jacket, http://store.delias.com/item.do?categoryID=1386&itemID=46182&sizeFilter=&colorFilter=&brandFilter= , good enough to keep me warm in london and paris or is it not thick enough? or should it be more big and warm like this: http://store.delias.com/item.do?categoryID=1384&itemID=46313&sizeFilter=&colorFilter=&brandFilter= And what kind of shoes should i wear? should i wear rain boots? all i've got are my converses, are those okay?

We have a 10-hr. stay @ the Heathrow Airport in London (UK), but can spare ~6 hrs. to browse the locality. We're not interested in shopping, only in touring (by Subway routes). Thanks in advance.

It means "I love Peckham" in Swedish. I noticed it a couple of weeks ago and cant get over it. Why Swedish? Who put it there? I just have to know!

Personally, I think there are better places in England: Manchester & Newcastle for nightlife; Bristol & Cambridge are great for relaxing and sightseeing; even Birmingham is shedding its industrial image and becoming more lively.

I just find that London lacks any type of soul; it just seems grey, dirty and uninspiring. It's also looking more and more like an American city all the time.

Just my opinion.

Once when travelling on the District Line, when a bunch of guys with guitars broke into a excellent rendition of Mrs Robinson by Simon and Garfunkel. Instantly the entire carrige was singing, humming, tapping and swaying in time with the song. (except from two Americans who stood with a scared look as if the whole world had suddenly gone mad, lol) When the song had finished everyone gave them a round of appaulse and they got off the train.

Has anyone had a fun or enjoyable experience on the tube? (or any other public transport)
