Myself and 5 friends are travelling to London City Airport in June and will be in London for 3 nights. One night we will be at Wembley Stadium and the others will be spent in the Lecester Square area. We would like to stay somewhere in between but for as cheap as possible and very close to the tube. Oh and no hostels either please. Thanks in advance

I absolutely loved London during New Years, but I found their immigration in and out of the country to be funny. I mean, I arrived from a 12 hour flight to wait 2 additional hours in a zig zag line to get my luggage. When I left London, it took an additional 2 hours just to go through the "q" I.E. SCREENING. AS I INNITIALLY STATED, I LOVED LONDON FOR THE HOLIDAY, I WON'T BE GOING BACK ANY TIME SOON. oh, AND LET'S NOT EVEN TALK ABOUT HOW EXPENSIVE IT WAS.... Have any of you had similar experiences in London, or other countries???

What do you think of the bus fare price increase. £2 to go one stop seems a bit high.

I'd like to do something fun and relatively inexpensive. Going by train would be preferred too. Any ideas would be appreciated - thanks!

Does anyone know if it is cheaper to buy tickets online or at the door on the day itself? Apparently, online I have to pay online booking fee and collection fee.... I am going on a weekday, not sure if the tickets will be sold out? Advice anyone?

trying to take a plane to london, then to croatia and back. but the flight times don't match and I get to stay over london between flights. Should i stay in a Gatwick hotel or should I take a taxi directly to center london and stay there? I don't want to drive, and want to make sure I stay in a safe place. It seems to be a 30 mile hike to the center city from Gatwick. Any interesting places I can visit closer to the airport?

My daughter was staying in London for 5 1/2 months (stayed a bit too long) left to go to Spain for 4 days and was not allowed back into London on return. The customs pulled her aside, went through her things and saw information saying she had been working in London as a nanny (illegally). Now she has an entire apartment full of things she cannot retreive, a bank account she cannot get to, is heartsick and sitting in a hostel in Spain, alone (they sent her back from where she came.) Any way to go around this crazy system they have in place? Any input on how to reenter London if only for a few days to staighten out her life and pack her things? Anyone ever been in this situation? Any help would be great. Thanks

A friend of mine is coming down from the north to visit, and we're having a day in London. I'm trying to think of a few cool things we can do during the day. She loves sharks, so I thought the aquarium would be a good start, and we're also going to browse in camden market. We're both 20 and relatively poor (being students).

I'm trying to visit London for a month. My housing budget is about 1200 pounds. Looking for fun night life and culture. Want to be in an area with other young adults (18-25).
