What do you think of the bus fare price increase. £2 to go one stop seems a bit high.

WOW £2??? Im originally from london but i now live in Malaysia so this is news to me.... bloody hell man will they ever stop putting up the price?? the service stays the same... i think its too much... im glad i live in malaysia now.. although the transport system here is rubbish the weather is great, and the food is great... well say hi to london for me.. hehe....

I think the increase is horrendous. The mayor wants to encourage us Londoners to use public transport and stop traffic and congestion on the roads. How the hell are we supposed to use the buses and trains when it costs too much to go even one stop, let alone traveling through many different zones. It would work out cheaper owning an car than paying £5 a day on transport.

I think the cost of public transport is ridiculous and they wonder why people use their cars for even the shortest journey (although I do think that for one stop you could probably walk - the bus does seem excessive). Even with the astronomical cost of fuel its cheaper to use your car than get ripped off by public transport and at least its clean and comfortable unlike the rank old buses and trains they're still circulating

It's a lateral-thinking way of getting everyone to do more exercise, prices are so high you'll have to buy a bike.

It goes up every year and I wonder when it will ever stop. In the next few years we will probably be paying £5!

i do not agree, am sure other londoners feel the same way! i live in london, from swansea originally, think am gonna start driving, dont wnt to know the price from paddington to swansea, before the rise i know it was £58!!!!

shocking i know, each day it hits me in the pocket
the tube is even worse though
i guess it's swings and roundabouts
for some it will be great value
sitting down for hours to go like a mile! ;)
