It's better to buy them beforehand. If you turn up and they're sold out, it would cost you extra in travelling expenses. Also, you would have a better choice of seats.

what sorta price can yo get online?
I went a year ago, got the ticket from a ticket booth on Leicester square cost about £30 for both of them, good seats so - next one up from the circle right at the front.
If you are making the trip to see this though i would book online thus taking away the chance of missing the show.
although i do know this has never been a sell out in the last 3 years

Consider how far you are travelling and whether if (although it is VERY unlikely) the show is fully booked you think you might find something else you'd like to see. In case you were wondering, the reason is it is so unlikely to be full (particularly during the week and even moreso in non-holiday season - i.e. now) is that it has been running so long...since 1986!
I got my tickets there on the day and it was no problem, no shortage and a good seat. £20 each and I personally wouldnt bother buying online at extra expense.
Enjoy!

You can get deals on line, try www.lastminute.co.uk and see what their prices are like, sometimes they do deals where you can go for pre or post theatre dinner as well. I have never bought tickets at the door as I am way too organised for that and i get stressed out waiting in queues if I am not sure there will be tickets left.

hi we went to see this on our honeymoon and i thought that it would be best to get the tickets online or with a scout thing . but hubby said it would be worth going to the box office so thats what we did we had 2 tickests they were good seats and 38 pounds cheaper at the door itself rather than going through other people. just get there when the theatre first opens and you should be ok.
enjoy it is amazing

I don't think you will get any discount at the theatre itself and they may be sold out. www.lastminute.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk will have tickets and you can compare prices there. last minute often have deals which will include a pre-theatre meal for the price too.
Just one tip - try to get stalls tickets as the circles / balcony are very very tight and I'm only 5 ft tall and had no leg room! My husband had his knees up at his ears.
