Oxford Street/Knightsbridge etc. is 10am Monday to Saturday and 12 noon on Sunday.
Large shops in the inner suburbs tend to open at 11am on Sunday and 10am in the outer suburbs (I have no idea why that is). During the week it varies but most stores are open by 10am.
In the City of London stores, such as Marks and Spencer, tend to open as early as 8am (Fenchurch St/Finsbury Pavement) to catch workers on the way in.

Different shops have different times.
9am for most during the week, but on Sunday there is a restricted trading hours law, which means they can open, but cannot sell their goods. Most open at 10am but won't start to trade then (or they won't open at all)

10am on Oxford Street. Some shops open at 9:30 in the suburban malls i.e. Croydon etc.

London in basic terms truly comes near to final on Christmas Day. in any different case everywhere would be open for employer. lots os human beings bypass to the huge shops for financial business enterprise holiday, or the sea coast. 1st could 2010 is a Saturday, so we are able to rejoice the financial business enterprise holiday on the Monday.

All Shops are open by 10am. Some stores start as early as 9am.
