we like small-ish places

(and ship wrecks & pirate stuff)

there are 6 small children, 4 thirty somethings, and 2 middle aged adults?
(no pets, no smoking but we don't have a smoking prefrence....we'd probably enjoy the stink of an old ash-tray)

Space tourists blowing up tons of cash on a few days trip in space. wouldn't this money be more useful to build fences around schools. OK fine it is their private money but why is the media treating those tourists as heros ? What have they achieved to help their country ?

No kidding. Start of the trip - Eastern Europe. Needs: peace, good shore, food, shower, silence. It should be safe in all the ways.

I live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and would be willing to drive (not fly) drive up to 5-6 hours one way from where we are. I need ideas for places to go and things to do for our very 1st anniversary together. We are willing to go to the States or stay in Canada, as long as the driving distance is 5-6 hrs one way. We are looking to stay at least 1 night to 2 nights.

I am traveling with two friends( we are all female) to Europe in May. We want to do a coach tour through Europe. I know that it is cheaper to buy coach tours through UK or European sites than from American sites. So far I found a 8 day/7 night trip that picks you up at the london airport then goes through Belgium, Holland, Germany,Switzerland and France. Then brings you back to the London airport. This has many cool inclusions ,tours, meals etc... It is a Cosmos tour. All for about $650 p/p. Is this a good deal? Do you have any tips on better tours, websites etc...? Has anyone ever been on a euro coach tour. Are they comfortable, roomy, fun, stop alot,safe.....? I would love any info. Thanks

to protect 'their' Passport from the Heat & Cold as the chip in it can be damaged by these extremes.

This suggest to me that I'd be foolish to go anywhere where this could happen as A) It's THEIR passport (on loan to me) and that B) I have to pay the cost of any damage to it. So C) what is the bloody point of having one?

As an EU member, WE were all told (I distinctly remember being told it) that 'travelling in wouldn't require having a passport.

So, I have been sold TWO Pups then, 'cause I'm told I'll need my passport for travel within the EU.

Anyone else been sold a pup like this?

I like travelling to international destinations every year. But going through various travel sites gets to be a chore. Does anyone know of a website out there where I can enter the dates I want to go and provide a maximum amount I'm willing to pay, and have it come back with all of the possible destinations that fall into that category? This only have to work with flights since that is always the most expensive part of the trip.

I would like to move to a "cheap" city where the living isn't high, has a low crime rate(ok maybe I'm asking too much!), and where college/varsity is affordable.
I was thinking of San Fransisco or Washington DC but I'm not very sure if those cities are...shall we say..."cheap".
Help!

I don't really know were to put this Q! So pardon me if it's not supposed to be here!

I had wanted to make a booking online, however website was down, therefore called their hotline to make booking. Halfway thru, the line was disconnected. so I ring the hotline again, this time speaking to another staff. When I asked to speak to the first staff I had talk to, I was asked to call the same number again. And this staff refused to give me her full name when I said I wanted to feedback her service. She even challenged me to write in.
